Brugge – Belgium

Markt Square, Brugge

Today we drove from Amsterdam to Brugge. This town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site is regarded as one of Europe‘s most beautiful cities. It is indeed a charming city with much history and many buildings and churches over 400 years old. Cafés abound and today’s (8th May 2012) photograph in Markt Square shows many of these cafés with their typically Brugge stepped-gabled buildings.

Stunning photo and i makes me curious about how beautiful the rest of the town must be. I have been to Europe before and many of my most fondest memories were the experiences i had in the quaint small towns and villages. It was where i could really be absorbed into the traditional culture.
    Cheers
