Kyrenia – Cyprus

Kyrenia Harbour, Cyprus

Cyprus was a wonderful experience, but unfortunately it is a county divided – Politicians. We enjoyed both sides of Cyprus but I preferred the Turkish side as the scenery was more varied and the towns and villages had more character. Kyrenia, one of my favourite Cypriot villages, has maintained its ancient harbour and the cafés are a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy ones coffee or in my case; I enjoyed breakfast at a harbourside café whilst watching the World Rugby Cup matches. A word of warning for those who are travelling to Cyprus and want to rent a car. Rent a car in the Greek side, as cars rented from the Turkish side cannot enter the Greek side.
