We took the train from Buenos Aires to Tigre to spend a relaxing day away from from the city. I spotted these rowing boats and thought to myself that it must be hard work rowing these heavy wooden boats through the water compared to the ultra-light carbon fibre composite boats of today. However, these wonderfully maintained boats were made by craftsmen who were proud of their trade. If the boats had been today’s modern versions I most likely would not have taken the photograph. It evoked memories of the days when I was rowing.
