While I was waiting for the New Year festivities to begin my friend Carol was showing me the plants that New Zealanders were encouraged to grow in their homes. The reason being that the plant is where the Monarch butterfly lays her eggs. Carol and Ed planted these plants (I’ve forgotten the name) and the result, monarch caterpillars. A wonderful way to encourage flora and fauna. Let’s all think about that next year.
Wishing all my blogger followers a Happy and Prosperous 2014
