Siem Reap – Cambodia

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Siem Reap, Cambodia

It was the sign that first attracted me, as I was pleased to see the young Cambodians selling products rather than begging. However I was traumatized by the large number of Cambodians who had lost limbs due to landmines. Whilst every effort is being made to clear the areas of landmines, thousands of Cambodians have to lead their lives with amputated limbs. Very sad and distressing. Yes I did buy some books from the little boy in the maroon cap, even though it’s against my principle to purchase pirated goods.

Photograph taken with Nikon D100 & 70-200mm lens at 100mm on 29th January 2005.
